How to Avoid Getting a Ticket
Nobody likes to get a traffic ticket. It’s embarrassing and costly, not just because of the price of the ticket, but it also can raise your car insurance rates by as much as 25%. Here are a few suggestions on how you can make yourself ticket-proof.
- Watch out for hills and curves. Stay alert as you are driving around curves or down hills as police often set up radar guns at these points because they are inconspicuous, and by the time you spot them, it’s too late. Overpasses and bridges are other hot radar spots. Whenever you see one of those “No U-Turn signs on the highway, be especially careful as these crossovers are where 85% of law enforcement officers use radar.
- Keep your car in good condition. According to Edmunds.com, police tend to zero in on cars that stand out—cars which are dirty or have minor problems such as a broken tail light. The more inconspicuous the car, the better.
- Watch the truckers. It’s a good idea to follow the speed of commercial truckers as they are often alerted to speed traps by CB radio. By following truckers, you can get a clue in on where to be extra careful. Also, police cars often drive in front of trucks so you can’t see them.
- Listen to the radio. According to a British study, listening to music actually makes you less likely to speed. Music can help increase your alertness and makes you more aware of your surroundings. Music also helps to reduce stress and aggressive driving.
- Drive in the right lane. The left lane on interstates is called the “fast lane because cars which are traveling faster are supposed to use that lane. Police tend to watch the lane more closely for that very reason. The left lane also statistically has the highest number of accidents.

The Haleakala – Hana ride is a 45-minute Helicopter tour that offers a panoramic view of the spectacular Maui waterfalls, the Hana tropical rainforest, and Haleakala Crater. While the rain forests provide a lush scene of greenery, the falls make a captivating picture of nature’s best creation when observed at a higher altitude.
Another helicopter tour package offers the magnificent view of the Circle Island and Molokai. This 60-minute flight highlights a magnificent view of the rugged Hawaii coastlines, the world’s tallest sea cliff, and unspoiled sceneries you should not miss when you are in Hawaii.
For a luxurious vacation, you can seek help from tour operators. The Maui Activity Lady, for example, can help set you up in an unforgettable golf experience. Destinations include the Molokini Crater and private island of Lanai and other best snorkeling sites like Kahihinui, the beautiful Coral Gardens, and the Turtle Arches. The area is home to Pacific Bottlenose Dolphins and Spinner Dolphines as well as giant green sea turtles so a school of dolphins is a usual scenery in Maui. Snorkeling packages usually include lunch, snorkels and other equipment for a five- or eight-hour adventure. This is one of my favorite Maui Activities and Tours
For a more intense and thrilling activity, you can indulge in parasailing 400 or 800 feet above the Pacific Ocean while being pulled by a speed boat. Your tour operator will arrange this activity for you so you will have a safe ten-minute ride with the hydraulic launch and recovery system lifts. This activity is, however, only offered from May through November.
Another activity you shouldn’t miss in Maui is biking and hiking. This is one of the best ways you can have an up close view of Maui’s rich landscape. For a more enjoyable tour, you can seek help from a tour operator so you can join a team of hikers, bikers and tourists.

England on Four Wheels – Advice for Driving in England
If you really wish to see England and everything it has to offer, the ideal way is by car. Driving through England means traveling at your own speed and choosing your itinerary yourself. This itinerary gives a trip from your cheap hotel in Brighton to England’s North East, and this should have your mouth watering. I’ve chosen this trip due to the way the landscape shifts, from sea to sea and city to village.
1st Day – Begin in the southern coastal area of Brighton. Brighton is a wonderful place with a Pavilion, funfair and pier. Exit your hotel in the morning and head along the coast through the A27. An ideal area to hold up to have lunch would be Portsmouth, that has a famous Spinnaker Tower along with all the fantastic eateries at Gunwharf Quays. Get back on the highway and take it till Southampton, from which you’ll change to the A36. The A36 can take you up to the historic area of Salisbury, with its impressive medieval castle.
Day Two – Leave Salisbury on the A360 then get onto the A303. On this route you’ll be lead to a site all must see once, the mysterious and impressive Stonehenge. From here, you’ll travel west, through Warminster, and get into Bath. Bath has some of the remains of the Roman baths, consisting of England’s finest classical architecture. After this, go on the A46 and A433 north until you end up in the Cotswolds. Tetbury and Cirencester are two towns that have a lot of pleasant motels and budget hotel chains for a night’s stay.
3rd Day – On this day, you’ll take a trip to Coventry. While you’re going, you’ll stop and view two of England’s greatest sights. First, you’ll take the A429 and rest along the way at Stratford-Upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare. Head north on the A46, and you can stop at the immaculate Warwick’s castle. Be sure to allow time to see the beautiful cathedral in Coventry.
4th Day – From exiting your hotel in Coventry, drive north on the M69 and after this the M1. You can stop at the strange attraction of Chesterfield’s crooked spire. After this, head west up to the tiny town of Bakewell, located in the Peak District. An additional option is to head north to the lively area of Sheffield, where you can find a range of excellent hotels.
5th Day – Continue heading north on the M1 until you pass Leeds. From a short stop there, take the A64. This will bring you to the classic town of York, where you can be shopping in the labyrinthine streets full of old style shops, view the Minister and walk along the old city walls. York has a lovely park-and-ride service for visitors, as the city really doesn’t give a lot in the way of parking spaces. If you’ve still got some daylight, you might head northeast up to Pickering, well-known for the North York Motors steam railway which you can ride. Otherwise, you can stay at any of the wonderful UK hotel chains in York.
Day Six – Now, you’ll be getting to the coastline. Take the A170 and soon you’ll get to Scarborough, a rustic fishing town right on the coast. Scarborough contains an old castle that’s right on the headlands, and this is a wonderful area to hold up for a seafood lunch. Travel on the A171 and soon you’ll get to the beautiful cliffside town called Robin’s Hood Bay. Stay in any of the sweet quaint hotels at the hill’s top; the streets at the level of the sea are quite narrow, so driving down there is not recommended.
Day Seven – Keep on the A171 along the coast and soon you’ll be at Whitby. It’s an attractive town with a bustling harbor, little side streets along with an old gothic abbey. You’ve reached the end of the journey! Now, you can take your car to the local branch of the car rental agency, or you can drive back to Brighton and enjoy the the sights on the travel back!

What To Do Whilst Visiting Bristol, England
Bristol, which is the principal city of South West England, serves as the gateway to some of the UK’s most scenic locations, including Cornwall, Devon and Wales. Boasting the fifth largest population in England, as well as a rich and colorful history, Bristol has more recently transformed into a modern, vibrant European city packed with attractions to suit every kind of visitor and every taste for hotels in Bristol.
The original town was 10th century trading port and the city’s maritime heritage is highlighted by the achievements of Bristol’s most famous son, the great Victorian inventor Kingdom Brunel. It was Brunel who designed the SS Great Britain, which was the first iron-hulled, propeller-driven ship to cross the Atlantic and, of course, the world famous Clifton Suspension Bridge with its breathtaking view of the city.
For the dedicated shopaholic, the recently built Cabot Circus shopping complex has moved Bristol into the top 10 list of UK shopping destinations. With over 120 new shops, in addition to restaurants and cafes, and a state-of-the-art 13-screen Showcase Cinema de Lux, this impressive site guarantees that shoppers will not leave Bristol disappointed.
Walk a short distance from the busy shopping areas and you will find yourself in the midst of the enchanting old buildings that made up Bristol’s original city center. The cobbled streets of Broad Street, Corn Street, St Nicholas Market and King Street remain much the same today as they were hundreds of years ago. Do not miss the majestic Corn Exchange or the quirky old Llandoger Trow pub on King Street.
One of the most important changes to Bristol over recent years has been the transformation of the city’s harborside from a busy commercial dock to a modern development filled with restaurants, bars, shops and a range of hotels to suit every visitors pocket. Key attractions to look out for include The Hippodrome, Explore-At-Bristol, and Bristol City Football Club. Hop on a Bristol Ferry for a great way to see the area from a different perspective.
Alternatively, why not take a pleasant stroll up Park Street towards Clifton village, which has a great range of boutique clothing stores and classy restaurants and range of cheap hotels in Bristol. Then, there is Bristol Zoo Gardens, with over 450 rare and endangered species, and provides plenty of activities for kids of all ages.
The Many Benefits of an Inflatable Air Mattress Bed
Inflatable air mattress beds are usually used for limited period situations for example travelling, or crashing at your friends house after getting kicked out by your girlfriend for forgetting your anniversary. Actually, they aren’t always judged to be the idea of comfort and health- however in a few situations they certainly do supply a lot of benefit.
Higher education college students who are short on funds may well pick an Inflatable air mattress bed for an extended time period because they provide affordability with a fairly healthy night’s rest. The challenge is air mattresses are generally fragile, so while you are carrying it around be careful not to scrape the edges of the air mattress, otherwise it will not stay a bed but rather covers for the ground you’ll be sleeping on.
Maybe you are going on a road trip and/or orienteering. Air mattresses are surely a nice choice to have when you’re on the road in general so that at least you’ll have a nice place to rest on after a long day’s walk.
If you are searching to buy an air mattress (it’s good to have one in your supplies in the event you will need it), you’ll find different online sites that will let you compare prices, and read other people’s assessments based on their very own purchase history.
Generally speaking, these types of mattresses can fit into a minute spot (probably the size of a medium to large-sized carrying case), and are very light (once the air is released obviously). Even with the air entirely pumped into the airbed, it’s still rather very portable. Just don’t hop on it or allow your dog to play close to or near it.
The more low-cost Inflatable air mattress beds maybe don’t include their own electric pump motor. In which case you will need to use a separate air pump such as the one you use for your tire or recreational sports balls like basketballs and soccer balls. Generally it takes 2 minutes to 7 minutes depending on the mattress manufacturer, and your own power levels.
