Caring for Your Newborn
Being a new mom is a present that every woman can be grateful for. Of course, addititionally there is the recurring diaper rash. Because infants require protection for wetness, diaper rashes are sometimes inevitable. Aside from that, here are a few must-haves for babycare:
1. Onesies. This one-piece, snap crotch article of clothing is incredible. They come in adorable colors and prints. They are versatile as well just in case you quickly need to bring your child along for an emergency errand. Just put it beneath coats and bottoms, and you are good to go.
2. First Aid Kit. This is probably one of the most important of baby basics. Put in a few basic medicines, a rectal thermometer, a lubricant, some first aid cards with tips for how to proceed in the event of an emergency, and of course, emergency phone numbers.
3. Diapers, obviously. Make sure you stock up. The baby might be allergic to particular kinds of diapers. Don’t panic when rash breaks out. Rather, change to another brand.
4. Sling. These are especially useful when you like to bring your infant along anywhere and everywhere. These are great for discreet breastfeeding your baby also.
5. Baby bed. Make sure that it has side guards so that your baby is kept safe even when he moves through the night.
6. Car seat and stroller. A lot of companies sell car seats that can also be converted into baby strollers once you get out of the car. Whatever your choice might be, your baby’s safety is a must once you bring him out of the house.
